DP William Ruto has said the hullabaloo among Western politicians is a product of his meeting with a section of them at his Sugoi home last December.
Ruto said his political tricks were bearing fruit and that this was a clear indication of his straight path to the presidency in 2022.
“To realise development we must be one. I must laud the move by Western leaders to join us towards making Kenya a nation free from ethnic division,” he said.
“Ababu Namwamba has resigned from Cord leadership and he is joining Jubilee. We thank all of them for heeding our calls for a unified nation free of hatred and politics of division.”
Ababu is yet to submit his letter of resignation from the ODM secretary general post. He said he wants to unite Western and create a “third force” distinct from both Cord and Jubilee to promote the region’s agenda.
Ruto praised Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka and Water CS Eugene Wamalwa for dissolving New Ford Kenya and joining the Jubilee party.
