There was drama outside Nation Centre when Police arrested Suna East MP Junet Mohamed where he had gone for an interview. The MP who was accompanied by his lawyers Hon Jmaes Orengo and Hon Peter Kaluma.
There was a brief scuffle during the arrest as police wanted to take the MP to the CID headquarters on Kiambu Road in their own vehicle.
But Siaya Senator James Orengo, who is acting as Junet’s lawyer, insisted on taking his client for questioning.
Earlier on Tuesday, journalists had waited outside Nation Centre as the building was surrounded by heavily-armed Flying Squad officers.
Police went to the MP’s house on Monday evening but he was not around, prompting a search for him.
Junet is among six politicians asked to appear at the CID headquarters to record statements over inciting remarks.
