A new dawn for the people of wajir as young khalif was endorsed to run for the county’s senatorial seat.
In an exuberant and euphoric meeting attended by elders, youths and women, Abdiaziz khalif was endorsed as the community’s flagbearer for the senatorial seat in the August polls.
The youthful Khalif is a humanitarian aid worker cum Businessman submitted his papers ahead of the primaries next week.
The flamboyant young man has always been at the forefront in community service without power or resources and this has informed his endorsement.
Speaking to Kenya today on phone Khalif expressed optimism in winning the seat, he said that his leadership will be people driven,people oriented and that his dream is to see empowered youth and women through the devolved system.
Khalif who has been a leader from his early days in school will face 7 other people including a female aspirant on August 8 and local analyst put him a notch higher than his competitors
