Angry Mt Kenya MPs (Kikuyu) had a biter war of words with Deputy President William Ruto in his office on Monday. At one point biter exchange got uglier when Starehe MP Maina Kamanda was roughed up by DP Ruto’s security.
The MPs told Ruto to his face to STOP MEDDLING in Nairobi politics and that if he continues they will gang against him in 2022, the five MPs reminded the DP that he needs Kikuyu community most and therefore should NOT ANTAGONISE their quest to take control of City Hall (they want a Kikuyu to be governor in Nairobi).
DP Ruto has previously indicated that Jubilee MUST win the Nairobi governship by hook and crook. He is said to be one fronting the shy and ever broke Water CS Eugene Wamalwa to be the Jubilee flag bearer to face CORD’s Governor Evans Kidero.
The MPs in the scuffle were those allied to Dagoretti South MP Hon Dennis Waweru who is fronted as the Mt Kenya choice for Jubilee’s gubernatorial ticket for Nairobi county. The MPs were led by Maina Kamanda (Starahe) and included among others Hon Njoroge (Kasarani), Hon Gakunya and MP for Royssmabu
The MPs were were later escorted out of annex house by security personnel afer they failed to agree with the DP but the message had been delivered!
As the MPs walked out of the DP’s office they were overhead cursing him saying ICC should have locked him at the ICC and the another was over heard wondring how many Kalenjins live in the City. It is a an open secret that Kalenjins in Nairobi are very few and their number cannot even elect an MCA in Langata constituency.
The MPs demanded DP limit his dictatorship to his native Kalenjin land with one MP saying “sisi ni wale wabaya, hatataki ushamba in the city”
