PRESS STATEMENT FROM THE SKM COMMUNICATION COMMAND CENTRE
Our attention has been drawn to sentiments made by the ODM Party Leader Hon. Raila Odinga and secretary general Edwin Sifuna besmirching the character of our Party Leader, Hon. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka.
In that statement, Mr. Sifuna made several allegations that cast on Hon. Musyoka — the Party Leader of the Wiper Democratic Movement-Kenya — in extremely bad light by alluding that he is a political weakling, and that his political future is beholden to Hon. Odinga’s whims.
Nothing could be further from the truth!

If history is anything to go by, it is Hon. Odinga who appears to have become extremely isolated by his erstwhile National Super Alliance partners, leading him and his hangers-on such as Sifuna to become too frustrated, to the extent of blowing the fuse as evidenced by the shockingly convoluted statement issued yesterday!
Unbeknown to Hon. Odinga and his cohorts, however, is the fact that time has run out for the ODM leader. Having expended his last bullet in 2017, the ageing politician faces a political Waterloo of monstrous proportions; whereupon, firing of blanks will not help to boost his dwindling political fortunes.
After decades of unrivalled political dishonesty, greed and avarice, powered by a maniacal desire for power, Hon. Odinga’s sway on the Kenyan masses is sadly coming to an end.
It is extremely shocking that Hon. Odinga did not see this coming. False assumptions on Kenyan voting patterns have made Hon. Odinga assume that he is popular throughout Kenya.
What has been escaping his mind, however, is the fact that his so-called “national popularity” has mainly been emanating from the goodwill and support of the regional kingpins who have been coalescing around him, believing he can be trusted. Sadly for Hon. Odinga, every political coalition he has crafted has been collapsing immediately after each election cycle, with fingers pointing at Hon. Odinga as the offender.
It is common knowledge that Hon. Odinga has been betraying political allies with abandon, right from his association with the National Development Party and KANU in 2001, right through to the Pentagon in 2007/2008, to CORD, and now, NASA.
It is this mistrust and dishonesty that is depriving Hon. Odinga of his national outlook and support.
Before the 2013 General Election, Hon. Odinga beat his chest as a disappointed Hon. William Ruto walked away from him, only for the 2013 results to reveal that Hon. Ruto had actually ran away with the Kalenjin voting block!
It is noteworthy that our Party Leader Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka has faithfully stuck with Hon. Odinga since 2013, ensuring more than 90 per cent of the Kamba vote for the latter in both 2013 and 2017.
However, oblivious of the tribal arithmetic, Hon. Odinga has falsely come to believe that Kamba support, as well as Hon. Kalonzo’s voter base elsewhere in the Republic, is automatic and directly transferable to him (Hon. Odinga) even through proxies. It is not! This will become clearer in 2022, if the antagonism between him and Hon. Musyoka persists.
The same can be said of the support Hon. Odinga has been enjoying from other parts of the country, which is fostered by regional supremos, giving Hon. Odinga that false sense of entitlement to Kenya’s vote basket.
Bottomline: Things will never be the same for Hon. Odinga. At the moment, he has earned the moniker of “Mr. Dishonest”. Additionally, he has cast himself as an extremely self-centered man who will get into power by hook or crook. He is a man who is extremely untrustworthy — a man who cannot keep promises. How can Kenyans trust such a man to be their President? For a man who cannot keep his word while in Opposition, how will he keep it while in power as President? Who will trust him?
Hon. Odinga and his loyalists claim that Mr. Musyoka, Mr. Mudavadi, and Mr. Wetangula, abandoned him at his hour of need during His Swearing-In Ceremony as the People’s President on January 30th 2018, but he himself cannot explain why he abandoned Opposition leaders Mwai Kibaki, Charity Ngilu and Kijana Wamalwa (then Party Leaders of Democratic Party, Social Democratic Party, and Ford Kenya, respectively) in 2001, only to go and start carvoting with President Daniel Moi, where his National Development Party’s tractor was swallowed by Jogoo.

As he betrayed his Opposition counterparts Kibaki, Wamalwa and Ngilu in 2001, Hon. Odinga was salivating to be endorsed by Moi for the Presidency. When this did not happen and Moi instead anointed Uhuru Kenyatta as Kanu’s presidential candidate, Mr. Odinga left KANU in a huff and went and rejoined his Opposition colleagues, hence, revealing his true colours as an unreliable, grossly egocentric, and untrustworthy leader!
It is obvious that the so-called March 2018 Handshake was mainly initiated by Hon. Odinga to get himself into the trappings of State power, just like happened in 2001.
Right now, there is no guarantee that Hon. Odinga will not abandon President Uhuru and join the President’s rival before 2022, if he realizes that his selfish desires are not being met!
In conclusion, we state that dishonesty, insatiable greed for power, and disrespect for political partnerships, are not the hallmarks of a good leader. They are characteristics of an unreasonable and even a very dangerous leader. A leader who cannot keep his word is a great danger to the people he rules. Once elected, he may even refuse to leave office by changing the Constitution to become a Life President.
Mr. Odinga exhibits all these characteristics. Kenyans should be extremely wary of his political moves. He does not mean well for this country!
