William Ruto was in Bomet today. A few kilometers east is his own people being evicted from Mau forest. (I will tomorrow tell you why this issue needs to be addressed properly) well back to Ruto. He was attending the swearing in of Barchok as the new Governor Bomet (Ruto’s Shamba where he eats with a friendly governor) but he never mentioned anything of the evictions. The people being evicted voted for him overwhelmingly in 2013 with a promise that he will settle the matter (either compensation or buy them New land) but he did nothing. He came in 2017 (I was there) he promised the same. He said he will settle the matter in 2018.
Instead of settling the matter, he formed a task force led by Keriako Tobiko and started evicting people out of Mau. In the meantime, he sent Murkomen who lied to the people that William was being fought because of 2022 using the mau issue so he can’t say anything…. 😂😂this is laughable. Typical of African politics. Lie and lie and lie. Now what is hearing even more is that the people being chased out like animals are also saying that “William Hana neno. Ni vile tu wamempiga kisiasa.” But why is RUTO In power? So that he can help settle such matters in an amicable manner. He has decided to sacrifice his own people for his 2022 ambitions. On one hand he wants the vote of the Maasai on the other hand he needs the kalenjin vote in Mau.
Since the kalenjin are already brainwashed to support him even when they are facing death, he has chosen to sacrifice the Kipsigis knowing too Well, wanampenda watampigia kura tu bado. Playing chess with people’s lives. And the same people acting as if they can’t think on their own. It’s so frustrating. We need to ask the right questions to the right people. The mau issue is supposed to be settled by William Ruto. Not Any other person.
