Lawyer Ahmednassir Abdulahi was on Tuesday left embarrassed after Kenyans on Twitter muted him over his attempts to link Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko to wanted “hooligans”.
The lawyer who’s is alleged to be facing several criminal and defamation cases in court claimed in a tweet that Governor Sonko last Saturday met the gang which terrorized former NCBDA Chair Timothy Muriuki even despite police issuing a bounty for those with information leading to the arrest of the suspects.
We have confirmed that the public wedding happened on 28th April, 2018 just days before the Boulvard incident. According to those who attended the wedding, Sonko was present during the wedding and he was forced to take selfies and photos with members of the public and his supporters.
The Boulvard incident happened on 30th April.
Kenyans on social media told off the lawyer accusing him of working with cartels at City Hall to bring down the governor.
Ahmednassir is among the top lawyers in the city pushing for payment of controversial Sh60b pending bills at City Hall.
Sonko is said to have overlooked Ahmednassir and picked the eloquent and experienced PLO Lumumba to lead a task force probing the pending bills that were allegedly cooked during the reign of former governor Evans Kidero.
