The country just learned this week with shock that Uhuru Kenyatta chaired a cabinet meeting and approved the allocation of 28,000 acres of Mau Forest, one of the five water towers of Kenya, and an important regulator to Kenya’s climate, and source of livelihood for the Maasai community and other surrounding communities.

Paradoxically, the government has been paying squatters that were evicted from the forest by the Coalition Gov’t Ksh400,000 each family as compensation. Why should Uhuru’s gov’t be pushed by William Ruto to settle ‘flying squatters’ in the Mau Forest?

It is alleged that William Ruto and Narok governor have grabbed a big chunk of the Forest measuring thousand of acres.
Uhuru’s sister has also grabbed Karura Forest in Nairobi and built a restaurant inside the Forest next to UNEP. If this is true, Kenyans MUST stop this blatant destruction of our resources through court petitions.

Maasai Mara and Serengeti in Tanzania will be negatively affected with this wanton destruction. Uhuru’s reign has had negative effect in all sectors of our economy with a single denominator of lootocracy.
