DRAMA: Miguna’s Lawyer Nelson Havi Refuses Summons By DCI, Insists Matiangi Must Comply With Court Orders First

Miguna’s lawyer Mr Nelson Havi has refused to honor summons by DCI to record a statement over his client’s alleged missing passport.

Havi was summoned to the Serious Crimes Unit of the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) over the phone by a Mr Kuria and was required to explained what he knows about Miguna Miguna’s Canadian passport.

Havi, through his twitter handle, said that an officer at the George Kinoti led Unit called him via phone on Tuesday afternoon, urging him to appear at the facility to shed light on the alleged confiscation of his client’s Canadian passport.

“A Mr Kuria from DCI-Serious Crimes summoned me on phone at 12.31pm, to go shed light on the confiscation of Miguna’s Canadian Passport. I asked him to request CS Matiang’i, PS Kihalangwa, IG Boinnet & DCI Kinoti to first comply with all Orders on the matter, before summoning me,” Havi said on Twitter.

Perjury accusations
The lawyer is who seen as an enemy of the state despite the #handshake is being set up for perjury. It is said that he swore affidavits in court claiming that Miguna’s passport had been confiscated by the Kenyan authorities, however it later emerged that Dr Miguna ‘actually had his passport in Dubai before he left for Canada last month.’

Miguna equally yelled at the pilot in the botched deportation late last month that he neither had his passport, nor the luggage. He would later in long Facebook post brag that he refused to hand over his passport for stamping at the JKIA, in fear of confiscation.

The government is on a fishing expendition to try and fix Havi, he is controversial and doesnt seem to get along with regime friendly lawyers like Ahmednassir Abdullahi with whom they shared a client- the late Jacob Juma. It is not know if Havi’s differences with Ahmednassir is linked to their time as lawyers representing the controversial businessman who was murdered in cold blood by alleged state agents.
