Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko today surprised the Muslim community in Nairobi with Eid gifts, the senator gave out 220 goats to be shared among 42 mosques out of 65. He also gave cash and food stuffs to all women from different mosques.

“The festival of Eid al-Fitr will tomorrow bring an end to the fasting month of Ramadan, one of the most important periods in the Islamic calendar. Eid, also known as the Feast of the Breaking of the Fast, will see Muslims all over the world celebrate with prayer, food and gift-giving. As a leader i chose to celebrate with my muslim brothers and sisters by providing food stuffs, cash, clothes and goats to over 5000 families from all over Nairobi county as they look forward to celebrating Eid ul-Fitr tomorrow. I also had an opportunity to pray with them for the alasri prayers.
May Allah flood your lives with happiness on this occasion, your heart with love, your soul with spirtual nourishment, your mind with wisdom because in every shared smile and laughter; In every silent prayer answered; In every opportunity that comes your way – may Allah bless you immensely! May Allah bring you joy, happiness, peace and prosperity on this blessed occasion. Wishing you all a happy occasion of Eid Mubarak!”
