ODM Bunyala sub- branch today told Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba to resign as area legislator following his decision to quit the party that took him to parliament and instead contest in his new party.
Addressing over 100 party delegates from across the sub county the county deputy chairman Patrick Obongoya said Raila has been of great use in Budalangi.
” Ababu’s choice was personal and will not affect the party’s popularity in the area whose people still remain in ODM.
Irrespective of Ababu’s resignation, Raila is till valued in Bunyala and they will support him fully,” He said.
Bunyala ODM Youth leader Chrispinus Oduor said the youths in the area will stand firm with ODM which has massive support, adding that Ababu’s choice to leave ODM was personal.
The party women delegates vowed to vote for ODM en masse come 2017. ” Our quest to support the Orange party is unstoppable,” they said.
Officials who witnessed the occasion included ODM County secretary Innocent Oluku, Butula vice chairman Eric Were, Matayos chairman Linus Ouma, Teso North treasurer David Otini, Teso South youth representative Enaga King among others.
