Whereas it’s a constitutional right for every Kenyan citizen to picket, the looting and destruction of property, and even loss of innocent lives is abhorred by our constitution.
As the governor of Nairobi City County, I condemn the Hooliganism being portrayed by some of the NASA supporters in the name of peaceful demonstrations, with the strongest terms possible.
It’s the high time Nairobians are spared of these demonstrations which have continued to impact negatively on our economy.
Revenue collection has hit a slug on the various days the demos have been held within the CBD.
I wish to for once plead with NASA supporters, to conduct peaceful demos and to allow Nairobians to carry on with their daily businesses without any hindrance.
Peace and order must be maintained at all times and law breakers shall be dealt with in accordance with the law.
