The family of the late Billionaire Tom Cholmondeley is up in arms after MP Shah hospital reportedly refused to release the body of their relative.
Reports indicate that the family arrived at the hospital requesting to transfer the deceased to Lee Funeral Home for postmortem but were repulsed.
According to the relatives, they were uncertain on how Cholmondeley was handled at the hospital given that he was just undergoing a standard surgery.
“Everyone wants to know why he was taken into ICU after a standard procedure that is normally under local/spinal anaesthetic,” a family member stated.
Responding to the claims, the hospital’s CEO Anup Das refused to give a comment over the issue.
“Please ask their lawyers. They are the best people to answer,” Das was quoted by the Star.
The Billionaire who owns close to 50,000 acres ranch in Naivasha had been hospitalised on Tuesday and was to undergo a hip surgery which was conducted successfully.
A few moments after the procedure, medics were reportedly surprised after he suddenly developed a cardiac problem and the process turned into a life-threatening case.
Despite being handled by top cardiologists who attempted to resuscitate him, the controversial businessman breathed his last.
