Opposition leader Raila Odinga has met Retired President Daniel arap Moi at his Kabarak residence in Nakuru.
Mr. Odinga flew to Mzee Moi’s home on Thursday morning.
Confirming the meeting, the ODM Party tweeted: “H.E. Raila Odinga today led a team of leaders from various parts of the country to pay a courtesy call to the former President H.E. Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi at his Kabarak home. The two leaders consulted on the current state of political affairs in the Nation.”
Mr. Odinga was accompanied by among others MPs George Khaniri and Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir. Also present was the retired president’s son Gideon Moi and KANU Secretary General Nick Salat.
The meeting, which comes a month after Mr. Odinga pledged to work with President Uhuru Kenyatta in uniting the country, will definitely stir up political debate.
