KENYANS ARE WORN OUT FROM FOUR YEARS OF JUBILEE’S BAD GOVERNANCE AND MISMANAGEMENT!
The Rt Hon Raila Odinga today quelled any reports of disquiet in the NASA fraternity at a public rally in Masinde Grounds in Mathare. The ODM Party Leader reassured the mammoth crowd that the leadership of NASA is brought together by ideology and not personal interests and is therefore focused on delivering salvation to Kenyans in the General Election.
On his part, H. E Kalonzo Musyoka reiterated his commitment to NASA and dispelled rumors of discord attributing them to desperate Jubilee efforts to divide the newfound Opposition unity. Senator Wetangula and Hon Mudavadi concurrently pledged their commitment to the NASA Movement; all promising to stick together all the way to the poll.
The Rt Hon Odinga revealed the fallacy behind Jubilee’s Last Mile venture; it is widely reported in the media that there are over 1 million fictitious connections hidden in the midst of this white elephant project. This flagship Jubilee project like many others falls short of the expectations of the people.
In his remarks, Hon Odinga reminded Kenyans how Jubilee promised 10,000 new kilometers of roads but have only delivered 1,568 kilometers of which less than 500 kilometers are tarmacked. This is indeed a far cry from the rosy picture painted in their manifesto of the 2012/2013 campaign.
Hon Odinga wondered why insecurity continues to plague the country with scores dying in the Kerio Valley conflict, in Isiolo and the wider Northern Frontier as our police servicemen and women are deployed to disrupt legal ODM meetings in Kwale. This abuse of state machinery by Jubilee cannot go unchallenged.
The Rt Hon Raila Odinga urged the President to respect the Constitution, the Law and the choice of the people as manifested in their elected Governors. The NASA Leader termed the President’s recent outbursts as unfortunate and beneath the dignity of his office. Hon Odinga stated that he respects the institution of the Presidency but only differs with the Jubilee Administration because of the culture of corruption established under their watch. Tax payers’ precious resources that could be used to pay doctors, nurses and subsidize education have been diverted to private pockets under Jubilee. This is the most corrupt Government in the history of Kenya.
On his part, with 136 days to the election, Senator Wetangula stated that time is up! Kenyans can no longer gamble with their destiny. The Jubilee Administration under President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto has proven incapable of governing the country.
Winding up, ANC Party Leader Musalia Mudavadi urged Kenyans to retire the Jubilee duo on August 8th due to their proven incompetence. Hon Mudavadi further condemned the rising debt under the Jubilee Administration – each Kenyan owes over KShs 70,000 upon their birth!
Hon Mudavadi also questioned why the Jubilee Administration has not allocated sufficient funds to the IEBC given that this is an election year. In recent days, IEBC stated that they did not have adequate funding to put in place proper technology for free and fair elections.
