Reports on social media that Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ng’eno had on Friday mercilessly disciplined DP Ruto sycophant and alleged NYS looter Elgeyo-Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen was true. Hon Ngéno confirmed to local reporters that he indeed slapped and punched Murkomen at the Wilson Airport VIP lounge as self defense.
Mr Nge’no said he fought back after Mr Murkomen charged at him.
“I was defending myself,” he told local reporters over the phone.
Mr Ng’eno explained that it all started after he questioned the senator whether the loads of cash he was carrying to bribe voters in Kericho was part of the proceeds from NYS looting, it is that point they exchanged harsh words with Mr Murkomen. The senator became furious charging at Ngéno terming him a spoiler out to ruin Jubilee.
Deputy President William Ruto is leading campaigns in the region for the Jubilee candidate for the Senate by-election, Mr Aaron Cheruiyot and it is alleged that part of NYS loot is being invested in both Malindi and Kericho by-election.
Mr Ng’eno said trouble started when he jokingly asked Mr Murkomen whether he was transporting the cash he had “allegedly looted from the National Youth Service (NYS) to bribe Kericho voters”.
The disgraced senator from Elgeyo Markwet has however dismissed the claims, saying he was beyond physical fights. “I am not the type who can fight. I have gone to school and I know there are better ways to fight,” he said over the phone.
Hon Ng’eno demanded Mr Murkomen and all individuals mentioned in the NYS scandal must resign.
