My humble advise to the next SG of ODM, before you accept the big job, kindly try to do the following:-
Have a one week course with Onyango Oloo of TNA and let him teach you how to retain that position in the current Kenyan political set up. You may learn the patience of a crocodile and the resilience of a camel!
Visit President Moi and ask him what JJ Kamotho used to do for the chama of Baba na Mama. You may learn the sharp focus of an eagle and the linear speed of a cheater!
Request for a three day close door one on one meeting with BABA (RAO) and using the lessons learnt from above, ask him his vision and mission for his party.
Please do not allow him to invite any other person. Let him tell you what he wants done, what he doesn’t want done and the people he wants to do them.
With the above done and having convinced yourself that you can do the task. Ask him to call for the Central Management Committee meeting and accept the appointment.
Address a press conference and tell the whole world that you are ready!
Follow the teachings everyday and do not ask, accept, cook or eat ugali anywhere!!
