To the men and women who have dedicated their time on social media to debunking Jubilee half-truths and myths, your motherland is proud of you. Do not relent. Let us take these conversations to our dinner tables, our lecture theatres and work places. Let us sound the failures of this administration on every corner of this country.
Remember that you’re not doing this for yourselves. You’re doing this for the retrenched worker at Mumias Sugar who’s faced the axe and has no idea how he’s going to pay school fees for his kids in secondary school. You’re doing this for the Nakumatt store clerk with a young wife and a recently born child who’s wondering where rent is going to come from at the end of the month.
This movement goes beyond self. It goes beyond me and you. It reaches deep into the soul of the average Kenyan neglected by this government. The ordinary Mwananchi who has to pay for the bloody clusterfucks of this goddamn government. You and me together will change this country.
Come August, we’ll tell this government that you might have fucked up our economy, you might have fucked up the future of our children, but you have not fucked our resolve. And as we cross River Jordan and set foot on the promised land, we will flash this administration our middle fingers and finally tell it, F**K YOU!
Peace!
