One seeks an apology for the mistake he committed. Deep in my heart, I know which wrong I did to my friend. In seeking for a truce I will humble down and specifically seek forgiveness for a specific mistake with a particular person. You don’t seek forgiveness for the mistake you are not sure that actually you did.
What Uhuru did yesterday was a mockery. He seek apology for the mistake he is not sure or doesn’t know that he committed. Look at his speech; ‘If there is….’ Meaning, the man is not very sure he errored. I think there is someone or some forces pushing him to seek apology against his own will. Or his forgiveness can still be classified as PR gimmicks.
Then DP follows. He says that since Uhuru is asking for apology, then he is also tendering his. Meaning the man is doing something to copy his boss. In his heart the forgiveness doesn’t exist. If Uhuru would not have seek forgiveness, then DP would not bother.
Conclusion: Yesterday’s apology, forgiveness remains NULL and VOID. It wasn’t honest. It was a joke!
