Following massive public outcry in Kisii and Nyamira counties after a visit to Statehouse by community leaders christened TUMBOCRATS, several MPs from the Gusii community have chickened out of the plan to join Jubilee party, several MPs boycotted a meeting convened to dissolve Ford People party.
Conspicuously absent were ODM MPs Hon Richard Onyonka and Senator Chris Obure who have been focal on the Gusii unity talks. Of the of the 21 MPs (15 MPs, 2 Women Reps, 4 senators including 2 nominated) only two MPs joined former CIC chairman Charles Nyachae at the meeting. It is also worth to note that the Gusii community has two other MPs elected to parliament (Hon Arama representing Nakuru East and Hon Simba Arati representing Dagoretti North in Nairobi.
