ANY TIME the DP is touring Central Kenya, he is accompanied by a troop of region MPs, governors and MCAs who outdo each other in screaming loudly in his ears how he will be supported by the region in 2022.
I WILL not say he will not be supported. But they should stand assured that the decision to support or not to support him is in the people’s hearts and they will make it very very clear when that time comes.
So don’t fool the DP and I’m sure Ruto is above the theatrics. Just tell him, “me, myself and I, and probably my wife/husband and children, will vote for you in 2022”. That is the only assurance you can give him. Ingine achia wananchi. In fact the more you continue assuring and drumming how the masses in Central will vote for Ruto, the more they start questing your intentions and interests. You start sounding like a boring broken record. Why are you repeating it every day and what do you want to achieve? Soon the people might shout back, “aaa onawe tûtigithie rîu”. And so I support Wambugu Ngunjiri.
