High Court has directed that NRMKe leader Miguna Miguna be presented in court for him to make oral submissions in the next hearing set for 18th May. It therefore means the effective return date for Miguna Migunan is May 16th or May 17 setting up another stage for a possible showdown.
In the ruling made by Justice Chacha Mwita, the High Court directed that Miguna must be presented in court to face his litigants in the next hearing which will be on May 18 and to give oral evidence.
The judge also ordered Government to issue Miguna with travel documents to enable him come back to the country.
Justice Chacha gave the orders after Miguna’s lawyers made an application challenging the government’s decision to strip him off of his citizenship.
The lawyers’ led by Siaya Senator James Orengo also want Miguna Miguna be allowed back into the country.
“This was a simple matter that should have been settled within a few minutes if the Government obeyed the court.” Said Orengo.
