Gatundu South Member of Parliament, Hon. Moses Kuria, arrived at Ranalo Restaurant like a soldier going to war armed with clean hands, an empty stomach, a good mood and a sharp appetite and voila, ready for the lunch date with the former Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon Raila Amollo Odinga, who was, by all indications ready to receive and entertain his nemesis turned acquaintance.
By all standards, it is fair to say Mr. Kuria was armed to the teeth. Dressed like a business executive attending an important board meeting, Mr. Kuria made strides majestically into the neatly arranged room befitting the stature of honourable members. For some bamboozled onlookers, they thought Kuria was coming for dialogue talks. As part of protocol that accompanies such occasions, the salivating members of public were kept at bay angalau wasikule chakula cha waheshimiwa kwa macho.
He and other pangani cell 4 guests exchanged traditional pleasantries with the PM and other dignitaries in the room before settling down to devour a sumptuous delicacy of ngenge (tilapia) with osuga to boot. Kuria couldn’t hide his joy as he meticulously peeled off filets from the vertebrate periodically visiting osuga (his favourite Luo traditional vegetable). He kept Ugali at arm’s length.
The oathing ceremony worked magic as Mr Kuria who’s known to harbour too much hate against Luos was seen beaming with smile next to Baba whilst munching ngege in a style that made many confuse Kuria for a Luo. The relatives of the ngege Moses Kuria ate are living in fear for they argue that they’ve never witnessed manner in which Kuria lynched one of them today at Ranalo. They’ve asked the government to to from a tribunal to investigate whether Kuria is a Luo or Kikuyu.
