Breaking: Conman Who Allegedly ‘Sexed’ Six Jubilee MPs and Minister Arrested In Tanzania Over Fraud

Date:

The alleged conman Wazir Chacha arrested in Tarime, Tanzania yesterday for defrauding MPs among them Muranga Woman Rep Sabina Chege, has been booked at Muthaiga police station. To be arraigned in court tomorrow.

Standard Newspaper’s rumour mill The Nairobian published a story in which it was confirmed that the conman had seduced at least six female MPs all of whom are Jubilee members. Its not clear how many did he bed but he is on record confirming to have had an intimate reationship with former Bomet Women Rep.

Last month the Director of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti told the National Security Committee that they have unmasked the man using Murang’a Women Rep Sabina Chege’s name to con MPs and that the Ms Chege has a ‘special relationship’ with him.

“We have done our investigations and have the details of the individual. We have found out that he has a special relationship with the complainant,” Kinoti said before shying away from delving further on the ‘special relationships’ because of the presence of Journalists.

During a debate on the Cyber bill recently, the Women Rep had complained that a man, who is known to her, has been conning people using a SIM card registered in her name and that the police had not made any arrests.

A load of MPs including Speaker Justin Muturi have fallen victim to the said con and even sent Sh300, 000. Others who have had to part with money thinking they were sending to Sabina Chege include former Meru Governor Peter Munya and Cabinet secretaries Mary Kobia, Eugene Wamalwa and Sicily Kariuki.
