The IEBC has denied early Monday claims that its chairman Wafula Chebukati resigned, through a letter to President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The denial comes following a statement widely circulated on social media purportedly authored by Mr Chebukati to effect that he had resigned.
Taking to twitter, however, the Commission has termed as fake news the resignation of the embattled Commissioner.
“We wish to state that the memo circulating on social media that IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati has resigned is fake,” the Commission has said via Twitter.
