DP Ruto returned to Kericho to do rapid damage control following yesterday’s successful rally by KANU and URP rebels in the historic Kapkatet stadium.
“The DP has been rattled, he will camp in Kericho until such a time and day he is convinced that the rebels are crushed, Kerioch is a MUST WIN” a close ally told this writer on phone. It emerges that the DP has many problems especially regarding job appointments to government, the Jubilee 50:50 power sharing was never respected as top statehouse operatives argued that majority the DP only delivered 35% of total Jubilee votes.
The DP will definitely make political capital out of this situation, the presence of Hon Oscar Sudi yesterday in the KANU rally fuelled suspicion that whole drama may be stage-managed to help the DP push for more from the Kenyatta family.
