That Statehouse is desperate to divert attention from the ongoing revelations of massive corruption involving President Uhuru’s top allies including his ex-favourite CS Ann Waiguru and Youth Fund boss Bruce Odhiambo in which billions were lost is no secret.
On Thursday Statehouse blogger Dennis Itumbi took to Facebook where he announced that an EACC official has sworn affidavit to link Billionaire businessman Jacob Juma with a scandal during the Kibaki regime.
….Just yesterday an EACC official swore an affidavit in court tabling documents to show Errad Supplies used fake documents to steal Shs. 500m of tax payers money.… Itumbi posted on his Facebook.
Itumbi’s Facebook post attracted some of the most negative comments directed at the presidency with some intelligent Kenyans saying the alleged affidavit is nothing but a creation of Statehouse to get back at Juma for his consistent fight against the embezzled EUROBOND cash.
A Statehouse house source hinted to this writer that there will be more aggressive messaging seeking to distance the Uhuru (Presidency) from the failed war on corruption. The aim is to blame independent institutions of government mainly the Police, Director of Public Prosecution and Judiciary for laxity. Statehouse will blame corruption in the Police force and Judiciary in an effort to project Uhuru as the person with best intentions BUT failed by independent arms of government over which he has no power
The truth of the matter is that the presidency used Jubilee super majority in parliament and also the floating cash to interfere with operations and functioning of independent bodies, making a mockery of our constitution an example is the EACC.
Our sources hinted that the campaign to clean the presidency of any blame may go deeper even to a point of forcing DPP Keriako Tobiko out of office and frustrating strong critics like Jacob Juma by dragging them through stinky mud to silence them.
Corruption will be the main theme of the 2017 general election and Uhuru handlers will do whatever it takes to navigate through- our source concluded.
